I was born in Savannah but grew up all over the United States. I have had the opportunity to fish the East Coast, West Coast, and many places in between. Savannah is now where I call home and where I raise my two beautiful daughters with my amazing wife. I enjoy all styles of fishing but artificial is my favorite. I am USCG licensed and CPR certified.
I offer a wide variety of services on the waters in Savannah. Come take a sunset or dolphin adventure, get a ride to your favorite waterfront restaurant, or come target our local inshore species with a fishing trip. Georgia offers a number of barrier islands that are only accessible by boat. These barrier islands are great for beach day gatherings, taking a walk, or having a nice picnic.

Spring time in Savannah is typically known for its trout bite. The speckled sea trout is a white meat fish that is most popular for frying and grilling. Because of the different types of saltwater species that exist in Savannah, different times of the year can provide better fishing over others. Using live shrimp under an adjustable cork or a DOA on a popping cork yields good results for most fishermen.
When the local waters and temperatures start to heat up, the majority of our trophy fish do too. During the summer months the trout and red fish are smaller in size. This is due to them being born during the cooler months. Summertime is typically when the Jack Crevell and Tarpon species move in off the beaches and into the main river systems. Fighting a fish this size is an adrenalin rush and an amazing experience. When fishing for Jacks we use a topwater plug and pitch towards them. The eat and chase is heart pumping to say the least. I usually tend to target flounder as well. Flounder will push inshore from the nearshore wrecks that they live on during cooler months. There are a wide variety of sharks in our local waters. If you have never been up close to a truly teethy creature, then this is a great species for you to catch. Summertime fishing is a lot of action for a fisherman that is looking for a little of bit of everything.
Fall fishing in Savannah is my favorite time of the year. With the water temperatures dropping into the low 70s and mid 60s, our redfish population will start to get incredibly active. This is the time of year that I start to favor utilizing artificial bait. If you are more into trophy size fish, then the bull red species is the target. Because of their wide heads and girthy bodies, this species will put up a massive fight. With their sizes ranging from mid 30 inches to upper 40 inches, the bull red is a bucket list fish for any fisherman.
Wintertime fishing is a little different around Savannah. Redfish are still around in great numbers and the striper species have moved in from up North. With pushing into creeks and way up rivers, its more of the artificial fisherman's dream. Standing on the bow of the boat and pushing in a few feet of water allows for greater coverage of the area and greater action. Striper are fast moving and veracious species. Because of their extremely muscular body, they hit with the force of a freight train and peel drag like one too.
Artificial fishing is a specific style of fishing the shallow waters and tight creeks. We are able to get up into creeks and push along areas to target red fish and stripers. Seeing your target with its back out the water or busting bait on the top and being able to throw a lure to watch him eat is a very special scene. I love using the Zman brand and topwater lures for artificial trips. If this sounds like the type of trip that you would be interested in, then I would recommend booking a 6 hour trip with me.
After a 10 minute fight, we were able to land this beautiful 40 inch bull red. One of the many amazing species that exist in our local waters.
